Webhook

A webhook is an automatic notification sent when an event occurs. It lets you connect your helpdesk to other systems without manual actions.

A webhook is a mechanism that allows an application to automatically send data to another application when a certain event takes place. Unlike an API call, where you have to request information yourself, a webhook proactively sends the information when something happens.

In customer service, webhooks are used to connect your helpdesk to other systems: when a ticket is created, send the details to your CRM. When a conversation is closed, update the customer record in your ERP. When a CSAT score comes in, send a notification to Slack.

Webhooks are powerful building blocks for automation. They make it possible to create workflows that span multiple systems, without having to manually copy or export data.

Bugalou supports outgoing webhooks that let you forward events from your inbox to any external system. Whether it's your accounting software, CRM, data warehouse, or a custom application: with webhooks you connect Bugalou to your entire tech stack.
