Do I need a separate Twilio account?
Yes, you need a Twilio account to use VoIP. You connect your Twilio credentials to Bugalou, after which you can start calling right away. Twilio offers a pay-as-you-go model, so you only pay for what you use.
Which plans support VoIP?
VoIP calling is available on the Pro and Enterprise plans. Phone calling is not included in the Starter plan.
Can I use my existing phone number?
Yes, if you already have a Twilio number, you can use it right away. You can also purchase a new number through Twilio in 100+ countries.
Are calls recorded?
Calls are automatically logged in the customer's conversation with duration and timestamp. Call recording can be configured through your Twilio settings.
Does VoIP work on mobile?
VoIP works in the browser on desktop. For mobile use, we recommend using the browser version of the dashboard.
Can I send SMS through the same integration?
Yes! Once you've connected Twilio, you can both make calls and send/receive SMS messages from Bugalou. SMS messages appear in the same inbox as your other channels.
