UTM Parameters

UTM parameters are small pieces of text added to a URL to track which campaign or source brought a visitor to your site.

UTM parameters (Urchin Tracking Module) are additions to a link, like ?utm_source=facebook&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=summer-sale, that let analytics tools like Google Analytics trace exactly which campaign, source, and medium generated a visit.

Without UTM tracking, you only know that traffic is arriving, not where it comes from. With consistent UTM parameters, you see exactly which ad, email, or social post performs best.

When a conversation starts from a click-to-WhatsApp ad or a link with UTM parameters, Bugalou shows that source directly alongside the conversation, so your team knows which campaign brought the customer in.
