MRR (Monthly Recurring Revenue)

MRR is the predictable, recurring revenue a SaaS business generates each month from subscriptions, excluding one-time income.

MRR (Monthly Recurring Revenue) is the core growth metric for subscription businesses: the total predictable revenue you receive every month from active subscriptions. One-time purchases or setup fees don't count.

MRR is built from new customers (new MRR), upgrades (expansion MRR), and reduced by cancellations and downgrades (churned MRR). The balance between these flows shows whether a business is growing or shrinking net.

For SaaS businesses like Bugalou itself, customer service is directly tied to MRR: good support prevents churned MRR and creates opportunities for expansion MRR through upsells to higher plans.
