Call to Action (CTA)

A call to action is a clear prompt for the visitor to take a specific action, such as 'Start free trial', 'Order now', or 'Contact us'.

A call to action (CTA) is a button, link, or text that encourages the visitor to take action. In e-commerce, these are buttons like 'Add to cart', 'Order now', or 'View deal'. In customer service, they are buttons like 'Start a chat', 'Send us a WhatsApp', or 'Call us'.

Effective CTAs are specific, action-oriented, and visually prominent. 'Start free trial' converts better than 'More information', and a contrasting color draws more attention than a subtle link.

On your website, you can use Bugalou's live chat widget and announcement banners to strategically place CTAs that lead visitors to a conversation — right when they need help or are hesitating.
