Connecting bol.com
Connect your bol.com retailer account to Bugalou to import customer questions and respond to messages directly from your CRM.
Overview
The bol.com integration lets you manage customer questions from your bol.com retailer account directly in Bugalou. It is one of our key integrations for e-commerce. Navigate to Channels → bol.com and click "Connect" or "Manage".
What You'll Need
- An active bol.com Retailer account
- Admin access to authorize the connection
- Email-based customer questions enabled by bol.com (see below)
Important: Request Email Delivery at bol.com
Before you can use the Bugalou integration, you must ask bol.com to enable email delivery of customer questions for your account. This is required so that customer messages arrive at your email address, which Bugalou can then import automatically.
How to request this:
- Contact bol.com Partner Support (by phone or through the partner portal)
- Ask them to enable the option to receive and answer customer questions via your CRM system
- bol.com will activate this for your account — customer questions will then be forwarded to your standard contact email address
Note: Each partner must request this individually at bol.com. There is unfortunately no way to enable this in bulk — every bol.com retailer account needs to make this request separately.
Once bol.com confirms the feature is enabled, you can proceed with the connection below.
Connecting Your Account
- Click "Connect bol.com Account"
- You'll be redirected to bol.com to log in with your retailer account
- Authorize Bugalou to access your customer messages and orders
- You'll be redirected back to Bugalou with a success confirmation
Connected Account
After connecting, you'll see your account details:
- Partner ID — your bol.com partner identifier
- Business Name — your registered business name
- Email — the email on your retailer account
- Connected Since — the date you connected
What You Can Do
- Import customer questions — customer messages from bol.com appear in your Bugalou inbox and are linked to your contacts
- Respond to messages — reply to customer questions directly from the CRM
- View order details — see order information alongside customer conversations
- Automatic email detection — emails from @bol.com addresses are automatically detected and shown with the "bol.com" platform indicator. Order details (shipping address, billing address, items, and total) are displayed in the conversation sidebar
Disconnecting
To disconnect your bol.com account, click the "Disconnect Account" button at the bottom of the page. This will remove the connection but won't delete any previously imported data. See our integrations overview for other available connections.
