Overview

The Shopify integration connects your Shopify store to Bugalou so customers can track orders through the chatbot and you can set up automated notifications. Navigate to Channels → Shopify and click "Connect" or "Manage".

Connecting Your Store

1. Click "Connect Shopify Store"
2. Enter your Shop Domain — your Shopify store URL (e.g. mystore.myshopify.com). You can enter just the store name and .myshopify.com will be added automatically.
3. Click "Connect" — you'll be redirected to Shopify to authorize the connection
4. Log in to your Shopify admin and click "Install app" to grant Bugalou access
5. You'll be redirected back to Bugalou with a success confirmation

Connected Store

After connecting, your store appears as a card showing:

• Shop domain
• Status badge — "✓ Connected" (green)
• Disconnect button — click to remove the connection

What the Integration Does

Once connected, customers can check their order status through the AI chatbot simply by providing their order number. The chatbot automatically fetches order details, shipping status, and tracking information from Shopify. Customer data is synced to your contacts, helping you generate leads from your webshop.

Using with Automations

In the Automation builder, select ⚡ Zapier as the trigger type and choose Shopify-specific events:

• Shopify - New Order — triggered when a new order is placed
• Shopify - Order Fulfilled — triggered when an order is shipped

Combine these triggers with WhatsApp message actions to send automatic order confirmations and shipping notifications.

Important

You can only connect one e-commerce platform at a time. If you have WooCommerce connected, you'll see a warning message and need to disconnect it before connecting Shopify.
