Getting Started with the Dashboard
Learn your way around the Bugalou dashboard — from the overview page and sidebar navigation to plan limits and recent conversations.
Your Bugalou Dashboard
The Dashboard is your home base in Bugalou. After logging in you land on the Overview page, which gives you a real-time snapshot of your organization's activity.
Sidebar Navigation
On the left side of every page you'll find the main sidebar with these items:
- Overview — your dashboard homepage with stats and recent conversations
- Inbox — unified team inbox for all messaging channels
- Automations — create and manage automated workflows
- Contacts — manage your customer contacts
- Analytics — performance insights per platform
- Finance — invoices and payment methods
- Channels — connect WhatsApp, Instagram, Email and more
- Helpcenter — build a knowledge base for your customers
- AI Agent — configure your AI-powered chatbot
- Support — contact the Bugalou support team
- Settings — manage organization, workspace, and personal settings
The sidebar items you see depend on your user role. Owners and admins see all items; members and agents may see a filtered set.
Overview Page
The overview page is organized into several sections:
Setup Cards
At the top you'll find quick links to set up key channels:

Four cards show your current usage against your plan limits:
- Team Members — seats used vs. available (with a "Buy more seats" link)
- Contacts — current count vs. limit (Starter: 1,000 / Pro: 10,000 / Enterprise: Unlimited)
- Automations — active vs. max active (Starter: 5 / Pro & Enterprise: Unlimited)

Statistics
Below the plan limits you'll find four statistics cards:
- Messages — total inbound, outbound, and email messages
- Active Automations — number of live automations
- Response Rate — your response percentage
- Total Contacts — contacts stored in your database
Recent Conversations
A table at the bottom lists your most recent conversations with the contact name, last message, status (Active, Pending, or Resolved), and timestamp.
