Publishing videos to TikTok
Connect your TikTok account and publish or schedule videos from the social media planner, with the choices TikTok requires per video.
Overview
With the social media planner you publish or schedule videos to your TikTok account, in the same calendar as your Instagram and Facebook posts. TikTok only works with the social media planner add-on.
Connecting TikTok
- Go to Channels → TikTok and click Connect TikTok.
- Log in to TikTok and give permission.
- You return to Bugalou and see your account listed. You can connect several TikTok accounts.
Publishing a video
- In Social, click New post and choose your TikTok account.
- Add one video. How long a video can be differs per TikTok account; Bugalou shows a notice if your video is too long.
- Write your caption.
- Make your choices in the TikTok section. TikTok requires these:
- Who can view this video? There's deliberately no default; you choose it per video.
- Allow users to: comment, duet and stitch. These are off by default. If you turned them off in TikTok itself, you can't choose them here.
- Disclose commercial content: turn this on if you promote yourself, another brand or a product. Then choose Your brand (label 'Promotional content') and/or Branded content (label 'Paid partnership'). Branded content can't be set to 'Only me'.
- Click Publish now or schedule the video. By posting you agree to TikTok's Music Usage Confirmation.
After posting it can take a few minutes before the video appears on TikTok, because TikTok processes it first.
Statistics
In the planner and in Analytics → Social media you see views, likes, comments and shares per video, and your account's followers.
Good to know
- Comments on TikTok videos don't come into your inbox: TikTok offers no integration for that.
- A published video is deleted or changed in the TikTok app.
- A first comment, carousels and stories aren't possible on TikTok.
