Accessing the Editor

Navigate to Automations → Email → Email Templates to see your templates. Click "Create Template" for a new template, or click "Edit" on an existing one to open the drag-and-drop editor.

Starter Templates

If you haven't created any email templates yet, Bugalou auto-generates two starters (also used in broadcasts):

• Welcome Email — a welcome message template
• Order Confirmation — a transactional template

Template Settings

At the top of the editor, configure:

• Template Name — internal reference name
• Subject — the email subject line
• From Email — sender email address
• From Name — sender display name
• Reply-To Email — where replies go
• Preheader — preview text in email clients

Editing Blocks

Click any block in the canvas to open its dedicated editor. Each block type has unique settings (colors, fonts, images, links, etc.). A floating text toolbar appears for inline text formatting.

Dynamic Variables

Use the Token Selector to insert dynamic variables into email content:

• {{firstName}} — recipient's first name
• {{orderId}} — order number
• And more depending on your trigger data

Preview & Test

• Preview — see your email as recipients will see it
• Send Test — send a test email to any address

Template Management

On the templates page you can:

• Search — find templates by name
• Duplicate — create a copy of a template
• Delete — remove a template permanently
• Preview in sidebar — quick preview without opening the editor
