Autoresponder Messages

Navigate to Channels → Website Chat → Autoresponder tab. Here you set up automatic reply messages that are sent after a visitor sends their first chat message, depending on your availability.

Note: the initial greeting shown when the chat opens is configured separately in the Appearance tab under Chat Greeting Message.

Three Message Types

The Autoresponder tab has three sub-tabs:

Online

The automatic reply sent after a visitor sends their first message, when your team is available (within opening hours).

Default: "Bedankt voor je bericht! We zijn online en helpen je graag verder. 😊"

Customize this to set the right tone — let visitors know a team member will respond shortly.

Offline

The automatic reply sent after a visitor sends their first message, when no team members are available.

Use this to tell visitors to leave their contact details so you can follow up later. Example: "We're currently offline, but leave your message and we'll get back to you as soon as possible!"

Outside Hours

The automatic reply sent after a visitor sends their first message, outside your configured opening hours.

Let visitors know when you'll be back online. Example: "Thanks for reaching out! We're closed right now — our opening hours are Mon–Fri 09:00–17:00. We'll respond first thing!"

Each sub-tab has its own textarea and "Save" button — changes are saved per message type.

Opening Hours

Below the autoresponder messages you'll find the Opening Hours card. Configure your business hours per day of the week:

For each day, toggle Open or Closed, then set the opening and closing times. The widget switches between "Online" and "Outside Hours" autoresponder messages automatically based on these hours.
