Connecting Sendcloud
Connect Sendcloud to Bugalou to automatically send track & trace messages via WhatsApp, email or SMS whenever a parcel status changes.
Overview
With the Sendcloud integration, Bugalou receives the status of your Sendcloud parcels, such as en route, out for delivery, ready at a pickup point and delivered. Automations then send customers a message with their track & trace link via WhatsApp, email or SMS.
The Sendcloud integration is available on the Starter, Pro and Enterprise plans.
Step 1: Create API keys in Sendcloud
- Log in to Sendcloud and go to Settings → Integrations.
- Find Sendcloud API and click Connect.
- Give the integration a name, for example "Bugalou", and save.
- Copy the public key and the secret key.
Step 2: Connect Sendcloud in Bugalou
- In Bugalou, go to Channels → Sendcloud.
- Paste the public key and secret key and optionally give the connection a name.
- Click Connect Sendcloud.
Bugalou checks the keys and automatically subscribes to parcel updates. You don't need to set up a webhook in Sendcloud.
Step 3: Set up an automation
- Go to Automations and create a new automation.
- Choose Sendcloud Shipment as the trigger and select the status, for example Shipped (on its way), Ready for Pickup or Delivered.
- Add an action, such as a WhatsApp message, email or SMS.

Frequently asked questions
How do I know the integration is working?
On the Sendcloud page in Bugalou you'll see a green checkmark next to Tracking events active and the time of the last received event.
Will a customer get the same message twice?
No. Bugalou only sends a message per parcel when its status actually changes, even if Sendcloud sends the same update more than once.
Do customers need a phone number?
For WhatsApp and SMS, yes. Make sure the customer's phone number is on the shipment in Sendcloud. For email, the recipient's email address is enough.
