Data Retention Policy

A data retention policy defines how long data is kept before it's automatically deleted or anonymized.

A data retention policy specifies how long different types of data are kept: customer conversations, order details, or account information, for example. After the defined period, data is deleted or anonymized.

Under GDPR, you can't keep personal data longer than necessary for the purpose it was collected for. A clear retention policy is therefore not just good hygiene, but a compliance requirement.

Bugalou maintains a transparent data retention policy and gives organizations control over how long customer data is kept, so you can meet both legal requirements and your own internal policy.
